Reliance Steel- (RS)-operates metals service centers. It provides metals processing services and distributes a line of approximately 100,000 metal products, including alloy, aluminum, brass, copper, carbon steel, titanium, stainless steel, and specialty steel products to fabricators, manufacturers, and other end users. As of December 31, 2007, it maintained approximately 180 metals service center processing and distribution facilities in 37 states, and in Belgium, Canada, China, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 1939 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
