Before Monday’s opening bell, a couple of big name, dividend paying companies announced their quarterly earnings. Below, we look at these earnings reports and break down the important points for investors.
EV Energy Partners Turns Q4 Profit
EV Energy Partners (EVEP) reported earnings of $102.38 million, or $2.03 per share, compared to a net loss of $50.19 million, or $1.06 per share, last year.
Revenue dipped to $70.18 million from $78.59 billion last year.
On average, analysts expected to see earnings of 29 cents per share and revenue of $80.81 million.
Sothebys Reports Lower Profits
Sothebys (BID ) posted fourth quarter earnings of $74 million, or $1.06 per share, down from $90.8 million, or $1.30 per share, last year. Excluding special items, earnings were $778.4 million, or $1.12 per share – well below analysts’ estimate of $1.28 per share.
Revenue increased to $351.22 million from $339.2 million. Analysts expected to see lower revenue of $338.11 million.
