As a financial writer and journalist, I get a lot of emails. Most of them are PR pitches or advertisements for various funds, investment newsletters and the like, plus plenty of spam. I usually glance over the lofty sales pitches and calls for yields in the 5 to 85% range with minimum risk. But one email caught my eye (see the image below).
