It hasn’t been a great couple of weeks for the stock market. Thanks to surging inflation, slowdowns in consumer spending, and a sharp rise in interest rates, the major indices have been in freefall. A variety of sectors have declined as investors have ow sought the safety of bonds. Perhaps no sector has been hurt more than the broader technology sector.
After a decade of torrid gains, tech stocks are racking up double- and triple-digit losses.
The question now is: Are those losses enough for investors to start taking notice? The long-term prognosis for technology is still good as we rely on it more for our daily lives. However, plenty of dangers and potentially larger losses loom. For investors, the answer may not be so simple.
