Perhaps no form of power generation has been the energy sector’s pariah more than nuclear power. After years of promise, the energy form has sat dormant since 2017. Safety and waste risks have cobbled its growth potential, while cheaper forms of power production have been tapped. The sector has been ‘dead money’ for nearly a decade.
But it looks like nuclear power may finally be getting its chance to perform as promised.
Rising data center demand, along with new technologies, is giving nuclear power another life. For investors, the beaten-down sector offers an interesting chance to add growth to a portfolio at a cheap price — they might just get some hefty income as well.
